Questions about membership

Any legal entity under public or private law (e.g. commercial enterprise, company, institution, association and scientific institution) with a connection to the North Rhine-Westphalian automotive and mobility industry can become a full member of the association. Natural persons can become ordinary members if their membership is of particular importance for the purpose of the association. They must have a connection to the automotive and mobility industry.
Any natural or legal person who supports the purpose of the association can become a supporting member. Supporting members have no voting rights in the General Assembly. They must have a connection to the automotive and mobility industry.

Membership fees must be paid to finance the work of the association. The amount of the membership fees shall be determined by the Executive Board of the Association in the membership fee regulations to be adopted by the Executive Board, with the following restriction: The first General Meeting of Members adopted the membership fee regulations - for reasons of documentation - as an annex to these Articles of Association when the Association was founded; these shall apply until the Executive Board adopts an amendment or new version. As is hereby expressly determined and regulated, the membership fee regulations are not a material part of these Articles of Association; their amendment is not an amendment to the Articles of Association and therefore does not have to meet the formal or material requirements for an amendment to the Articles of Association; in particular, their amendment does not require entry in the register of associations. The Executive Board decides on the membership fee regulations and their amendment by resolution, which requires the unanimity of all existing members of the Executive Board.
